Inflation Room
The increase in greenhouse gases is one of the serious environmental issues facing our planet. The rise in gases like carbon dioxide leads to climate change and global warming, negatively impacting ecosystems and human life on Earth. Everything from the cars we drive to the clothes we wear and the food we consume generates carbon dioxide, solely as a result of human activities. Visualising greenhouse gases would provide a clearer understanding of their generation and impact in our daily lives.
To visually represent this issue, I utilise the most personal space, the bedroom. By expanding the walls of the bedroom, I depict the intrusion caused by the increase in greenhouse gases. Such visual effects help raise awareness of environmental issues and encourage individual and societal behavioral changes. Continuous efforts are necessary to reduce greenhouse gases, with public awareness and behavioral changes playing a crucial role. Through such visualisations, understanding of the greenhouse gas problem can be enhanced, facilitating measures for a more sustainable life.

온실가스의 증가는 우리가 직면하는 지구 환경의 심각한 문제 중 하나입니다. 이산화탄소를 비롯한 온실가스의 증가는 기후 변화와 온난화를 촉발하여 지구 상의 생태계와 인간 생활에 부정적인 영향을 미칩니다. 우리가 사용하는 자동차, 의류, 음식 등은 모두 이산화탄소를 발생시키며, 이는 전적으로 인간의 활동 결과입니다. 만약 온실가스를 시각화한다면, 우리는 이러한 가스의 발생과 영향을 더욱 명확하게 이해할 수 있습니다.
가장 개인적인 공간인 침실을 통해 시각적으로 표현합니다. 침실의 벽을 팽창하여 온실가스의 증가로 인해 공간이 침범되는 모습을 보여줍니다. 이러한 시각적 효과는 환경 문제에 대한 인식을 높이고, 개인 및 사회적 행동 변화를 유도하는 데 도움이 됩니다. 우리는 온실가스를 줄이기 위해 계속해서 노력해야 하며, 대중의 인식과 행동 변화가 이를 이끌어내는 데 중요한 역할을 합니다. 이러한 시각화를 통해 온실가스 문제에 대한 이해를 증진시키고, 보다 지속 가능한 삶을 위한 조치를 촉진하는 것이 필요합니다.
